I did not set out to build a framework. I set out to survive the fire in my own life, and I could not find advice that was honest enough to be useful.
Everything I read either told me to bounce back — as though there were still somewhere to go back to — or told me the fire was a gift, which was a lie I did not have the energy to argue with. Neither one met me where I actually was.
So I started writing down what did help. What real people said when they had already stopped performing. What I noticed in the Ashes when I stopped trying to skip them. What Rising actually looked like on the small days.
The Phoenix Approach is the framework I wish somebody had put in my hands. Four stages, in order, in plain language. Honest before hopeful. Earned, not cheerful. Written for the person you are right now — not the one you are supposed to be.
On credentials
I am not a therapist. This is not therapy. The Phoenix Approach is education, built on post-traumatic growth research and lived experience, designed to sit beside professional care — never in place of it.
